My question is about how much room the defender has to give the passer on an in bounds play. It looks like the Miami player steps forward and has his foot on the end line with his hand reaching over the line when Elliott goes to pass. This happens twice with Elliott passing the ball on the end line the second time. I think the defender being this close is why he tried to bounce pass it and it hit the line.
Is that allowed or should the ref told him to back up?
