Since NIL emerged, coaches have spoken of agents. Todays Panther Insider Show guest Jeff Capel reluctantly said of players having agents. I've heard a few players say their agent deals with the financial side of their college career. Obviously the days of a kid hiring an agent immediately ending his "amateur " standing is now over but I believe the agent had to certified in some way. Using in demand Bub Carrington as an example, who may represent him ? Are their any qualifications or can it be Bubs uncle, boyhood buddy, AAU coach, etc. ? How does a school know who really represents a player? There were unscrupulous agents banned from campuses in the past for harassing draft eligible kids. Unregulated, the environment must be crazy for "student athletes".
