A loss like last night shows a discrepancy in talent. We have some talented players, they have more. If we lose the next 2 games, it will probably be for the same reasons. If we lose to Louisville and Miami, it will probably be because their stars/athletes outperformed ours.
So if that's the case, it's logical that recruits see and coaches offer the prospect of early playing time. There are a lot of top tier recruits locally and nationally that fit our immediate needs.
But how are the current players not saying to themselves "clearly the coaches don't think I'm good enough" or unhappy and possibly unlikely to continue to buy in if they're perceived as the weak link?
Does anyone have experience with what is said directly to the recruits after a loss like last night?
