Amazing game and a great victory for HCPN. I can't believe the transformation of the defense. Having watched the games twice, the following thoughts and questions came to mind.
Q - Why arent' we using Chris James in a role more similar to that which had been created for Rashid Ibrahim last season? He is a fast player that can create in space and has shown that he can catch the ball. Swing passes can really jump start a passing game which could ease up the pressure the running game will surely face.
Q - With Hall out, who would be the next man up at RB if Ollison AND James were injured? Poteat? Ezekoye?
Q - What happened to the notion of using a slot receiver as a saftey valve when Tyler was doubled? I thought that Henderson and R.A.L. were supposed to be slant guys in space. Didn't we have a relief valve to counter a number of the blitzes or was it that Peterman couldn't locate them? I'm not criticizing, I'm genuinely asking if anyone knows.
Q - HOW GLAD ARE YOU THAT CHASE PINE WAS AT THAT GAME?
Thought - Barring injury I'm predicting a much more preductive offense that really breaks out against Syracuse. Factoring in the time they spent in fall camp and during the season, the concepts and player continuity should turn the the corner, especially between Peterman and the WR's but also along the OL.
Thought - I would gladly choke on Crow to see Jester Weah continu to register catches. I was really happy for him on Saturday and wanted to see him reel in that long ball along the sideline. That would have been a hell of grab.
Thought - You can't say enough about that transformative defensive performance. I don't think this is an HCPC type of scenario where they simply don't get the other side of the ball. I expect the offense to show up as there are so many things we haven't seen yet.
