1 - Last year there was Try McGowens, now this? Should we expect things like this to continue in your program?

2 - Do all these transfer indicate something is amiss in your recruiting strategy? Is they anything the coaching staff can do to promote better team chemistry/cohesion? These questions bring the coaching staff under examination. Do you anticipate changes to the coaching staff?

3 - Have you discussed these matters with Heather? Did Heather provide you direction?

Only Craig Meyer asked any questions worth asking.

Maybe Chris Peak had he been allowed to ask questions would have contributed to the dialogue (monologue really)

Chris was there “late” (not really) along with others. Apparently no consideration was given to accommodating them.

If I had to guess from the sound of things, neither X nor Toney got along with Trey. Capel had decided already X was his point guard, therefore de facto on-court leader. So when he and another player both had issues with Trey, Capel thinks that Trey is the problem... and quite likely mistakenly so.

Looking back considering we have none of the three now, maybe it would’ve been best to let Trey become the point guard and X and Toney walk after last season. They didn’t get along with Trey, now allegedly they don’t get along with Champ... very likely those two were upset it wasn’t X and Toney running the show every night these past two seasons.

All good questions! As far as #3......anytime a coach is having a starting player quit mid season and enter the portal a conversation has to take place with the AD. I think coach looked drained so he is obviously taking this hard. I stand behind him at this point!

I think he can deliver a decent roster next season. I expect that to happen.

At this point, he just is not a sympathetic figure to me.

The press has given him a pass.

I will feel sympathy for him when the press treats him in a manner that causes his wife to leave town.

That would cause a man to be “drained”.

Again - is it the same people who are treating Capel differently than they did your boy Stalings? If not you have no case.

You keep saying “the press” as if it’s some nameless faceless thing. If someone was a jerk to Stallings and not even asking hard questions to Capel then they should be called out. I’m with you.

And your questions are good ones. I’m sure we’d all like to know the answers to that and more. But even if they did ask, there’s no ways we’re getting those answers. And I know that’s no revelation either.

Obvious hatred for Barnes and Stallings before Stallings first day on the job.

Maybe it was the cronyism? Maybe it was the Jamie comparison?
