1. Give Chryst and co. credit for identifying running backs. When your 3rd string back has a debut like that - Wow. Not to mention Corey Clement was at one time a Pitt commit. Should also give a certain WPIAL running back something to think about.
2. Pretty nice recruiting opportunity for Hamlin, Wade and Ford. I thought Maddox was outstanding and Pitts played a great game as well. The DB's played aggressively and definitely seemed to have a lot more swagger. Not to mention that one DB spot is wide open next year.
3. Defense gave up a few big plays, but I was pleasantly surprised. Scheme looked aggressive and seemed to dictate the game to the offense a few times. Lots of things need work, but Defensive End recruiting continues to hurt us.
4. Donovan Jeter come on down. He has to be licking his chops at early playing time.
5. I think the game plan was to be a little bit cautious and not open up the playbook, but Voytik needs to become a weapon. Right now he is a pretty good game manager, but if he can ever truly be a weapon - Watch out.
6. Disappointing that it wasn't a little easier - BUT - sure is nice to see the Defense step up when it mattered. HCPN talked about facing adversity and this game may be a nice wake up call that we need everyone doing their jobs in order to win.
7. Hope the injuries really are minor.
8. Still pretty optimistic for 8 win season.
9. I believe Orndoff will be a big weapon this year.
10. WR is still a big ???? after Tyler Boyd. I think D. Ford is solid, but we really need some others to step up. I was expecting a little bit more from Chally.
