- If they were on different teams, it would be a fun debate as to which freshman guard is going to have the better year, but what an absolute coup it’s going to be to have both these guards. You can tell they are both just scratching the surface, but they are legit. Athletic, smooth, good handles, good shots. They look, to me, like very, very good prospects.
- Hinson carries himself like a star. If anything, he needs to shoot more. Any 3 from him is about as good a shot we will get.
- Jorge looks great off the injury. Twins look stronger.
- Leggett solid. Poor man’s Burton. Austin…I’m not sure. Super athletic. Shot a little awkward. Got a little lost in the scrimmage.
- Will did everything you want. Rebounds, hit two shots, great D. He’s going to play. I thought he outplayed Austin at the 3 in the scrimmage.
- Huett actually has a really good shot. Can he give us 5mpg? Maybe. Definitely worth the late add.
- Barnes looked lost, but he’s got time. Athletic though.
Overall, I was pretty impressed. We definitely are longer than last year. Defense might be a lot better. It sort of has to be losing the scoring we did.
