* if ANYONE in mid-january said this team would get a doulbe bye, we would've laughed that person out of town. what an amazing mid-season turnaround.
* the miami game was tough. a bad team who just somehow shot lights out for most of the game. having said that, we probably need two losses turned into wins to be in the tournament right now. probably doesn't matter who unless one was UNC or duke.
* JC did a better job coaching this year than last. i'm sure davis will win ACC coach of the year. and he should. but to turn around the ship around, with 2/3 of your best players as freshman, is a pretty signficant accomplishment.
* let's say you could play last year's team, at this point in the season, against this team at this point in the season. i think i'd go 2022/2023 simply b/c fede and GDG were playing better at this point last year.
* i have to think will is gone. i'm sure he wants to get a lot of minutes and that's just not going to happen on this team. i turned on post-game on the fan and hillgrove said will is going to medical school. no idea if that's true. but if so, he's not playing anywhere.
* WF is differnt away from home. let's hope they play their worst. well-coached team. who knows - maybe they get knocked out in the first round. i'm not sure we'd want that, as we probably need two quality wins to get an at-large in the tournament.
* blake turned into one of the more fun players we've ever had. he is so humble and thankful for what he has. and, of course, he's a lot of fun to watch. no idea where he lands on the all ACC team. but burton made 1st team last year and you could argue that blake was more impactful to this team.
* filipowski tripped a UNC player tonight. another duke POS player.
* whatever happens next, at least we got a fun season. all of us were massively bumbed out 2 months ago. specifically me - i had a post afte the cuse game that if HCJC couldn't figure out how to have a decent turnaround, then i was in the, "time for him to move on," group. but now we've shown to be a solid team two years in a row. a massive jump from where we were. need to take a real step next season.
