Great Read on Conner, go to the Link, you won't regret taking the time to read it. What a game coming up, Penn State and Pitt have the Running Backs and now up to OL to Block for them, and Defense to stop them? It is going to be fun to watch!

But the storyline coming from the Pitt coaching staff since the spring involves five players who want to handle that ball. A problem? Not in the mind of running backs coach Andre Powell. “It seems like that's a hot topic right now,” Powell said. Then, with simple logic, he tried to cool off the narrative. “We don't play tomorrow,” he said.............
.........Coach Pat Narduzzi had something positive to say about each one when asked about their performance Saturday in the first scrimmage of the summer.

Now lets read about those looking to stop Pitt Offense and where the coaching is coming from to put those Units together in the Link below, Given was happy to commit to Pitt, then switch the last week and now will face the Pitt OL that he will playing against them, another interesting wrinkle to watch for on 10th September,

Penn State defense tasked with playing 'complementary football'

This season, however, the Lions return five defensive starters, leaving some questions about whether they can repeat their dominant performance. To these questions, coach James Franklin said his team has to play complementary football, that each unit has to feed off the success of others. Ideally, he said, no one unit would define the Lions' identity. “That's where complementary football is so important,” Franklin said at media day. “To allow some of your weaknesses time to mature, time to experience where maybe you have to lean on a different area for a week or two while one of those other areas continues to develop.” Still, the defense might not be as inexperienced as the returning-starters number shows and, therefore, might still prove to be a strength..............Throughout the spring, the coaching staff and players such as Cabinda raved about defensive tackle Kevin Givens, saying he could be a surprise this season. Even so, defensive coordinator Brent Pry said there are many hurdles for Givens, a redshirt freshman, before he becomes the next great Lions defensive lineman. “(Givens) had some splash plays this spring, and we were very proud of the adjustment he made,” Pry said at media day. “But he's got a lot of work to do. He's still very raw as an inside player. He's got some great qualities — his strength, his leverage, his instincts — but he's still growing.
