Good game, great intensity, quips win with best 3 players fouling out. Good news for Pitt fans, Pugh is a freaking warrior (football fans). He is really an impressive kid. Now for hoops, quips fans and wipial officials should be embarrassed at lack of sportmanship. The big shots read the sportmanship crappie and then sit by and let fans sit Courtside and get up and berate officials up and down court. Many people around me commented on how disgusting the situation was, and correctly blamed the wpial for allowing it. Cummings is good probably not quite good enough for a lead guard in the acc. Size is roughly six foot, good quickness, shooting is ok, very competitive. I guess a John Johnson comparison would be valid. Enjoyed game felt bad about the atmosphere as pertaining to sportsmanship.

I've been a Quips admirer for years, but this Fall's football playoff game at Geneva was a little tough to take. I lived in the Beaver Valley for a few years and have watched a few Aliquppa football games and maybe a dozen basketball games over the years. I've never seen a problem before this year.

It was unexpectedly competitive until late in the game and a segment of Aliquippa fans were loud and obscene at every call which didn't favor the Quips. There were enough cooler heads to keep things from deteriorating into a fight, but it got a lot closer to a physical confrontation than was comfortable.

There are always questionable calls in any game and emotions run high when a loss in the playoffs means elimination. Sportsmanship is a dyng quality. It can make it uncomfortable to attend a game as a neutral fan.

A friend of mine went to the game and said the officiating was criminal at best. Geneva's court is not big enough to hold these games. With all the fans crammed into that Fieldhouse for a big game makes it even worse. If you want to see crazy fan behavior checkout a Beaver Falls / Aliquippa game, that's the one game that I won't take my child too.

I've been there but it was some years ago. I think it was actually in Beaver Falls' old gym.

Agree a bigger gym is needed, with separation between fan groups.

I am also a Quip admirer [from afar] but the behavior of their adult fan base is horrible. The Quips play a very very physical style of ball to the point where they will go right thru you for a steal. Their fan base feels they should never get called for a foul and when they get refs that let them play that way they are very tough to beat. I have seen them personally 4 times over the past 15 or so years and have seen their adult fans literally run right up to the out of bounds line and get in referees faces. Security at these games have a responsibility to control these fans or eject them from the building. But they get intimidated. referees need to step up and threaten teams with technical fouls when fans act that way.

The passion is wonderful but passions can and do get way out of line.
