After reading some other posters thoughts and just thinking rationally here is my thoughts

Offense problems: Injuries up front and to Holes has hurt. Holestein is a Freshman. Period. But high high ceiling. You have to stick with him. Let's face it Nick Saban approved of him going to Bama. Enough said there. He still has learning to do but showed us he is a dog and can make the though throws on a dime.

Reid has been played and used way too much. Needed more rotation and I think Hammond being out early hurt us now. If Hammond was a go early he would have got more carries and teams wouldn't have got a lock on Reid like they do now. Plus the guy comes up limping every game at some point.

O-Line just went downhill. Injuries and just flat out can't protect now or get a push in the run game at all.

Receivers all sudden for the dropsies .... Making crazy catches early on and now took a step back with concentration.

Defense: Narduzzi defense has always slowed for the screens and outside plays to be open. Plain and simple. I've read up and watched his seminar explaining his defense and which players have which responsibility and it asks a lot from his players. This sometimes is the main cause.

However we don't have the dogs in the D-Line. Usually we have least 1 guy needing double teamed. Not this year or last year really. What this means is we are blitzing the linebackers a little more, which is not part of the base scheme of things. Narduzzi likes to rush only 4 down lineman and play a cover 4 match man in the back. With linebackers having the flats and the middle of the field for crosses and TE leaks etc. if you blitz that linebacker .. there leaves a gap in the defense and forces more pressure in the DBs. We need someone to really step up next year on the D-Line. Matlack has not stepped up all year. I forget he even exists most the time.

Linebackers and DBs .... Not much to say about them. Linebackers have been stellar and the DBs despite giving up some plays have been better than some before them. Noticed DBs actually turning head and looking for the ball now instead of running hands up into the receiver.

Defense really comes down to the 4 down lineman needing help.

Coaching: Kade gets a pass...young and new and I think with time he will have a great scheme in place.

Bates... Can't really blame him. He's restricted to what Narduzzi wants to do.

Narduzzi- one more year. I like what he has done. I think he's a good players coach. However something doesn't give still with the penalties and dumb stuff that happens. There is no accountability for players commiting these penalties over and over. Comes down to the coaching.

Good post. I have one comment…

Yes, Narduzzi is the bottom line. He is the HC. However, the teacher at that position is the OL coach. In my opinion it’s his responsibility to make sure the players are focused and playing well. He’s also the main recruiter at his position. The incoming OL in the upcoming class on paper is not impressive.
