Ray Vinopal Impresses!

Mirror that !!

Thanks for walking my nephew out for the coin flip against VT !!

Only the best to you Ray !!!

Agree, best of luck to him for sure.

But gotta say, his case will be a litmus test (if there was any lingering doubt) of the 'quality' of Ray's defensive coaches. Because, to be brutal, other than the occasional spark (ND game two years back), Ray's on-field impact didn't equate to the impressive physical measurable values described. To say the least, really.

I'm sure this assessment will inevitably draw fire. And I don't discount his intangibles off and on the field. But some guys, seeing raves from a workout day simply makes me wonder "where was that physical magnificence manifested in actual games?". Particularly Houston.

That said, I always see it as a good thing that a Pitt guy prospers in the NFL and heaven knows I'd see him as more deserving than a worthless slug like Ryan Mundy was as a Steeler. So I hope Ray makes it, and does great. It would definitely put another mail in the coffin of the rep of our departed staff if he does.
