There was some speculation in another thread - or two - about Alex Bookser possibly moving to the defensive line. I asked around, and he's still with the offensive line. So that hasn't changed. But what has changed is where he's lining up; it sounds like he is learning right guard, which would seem to indicate that he could start there with Adam Bisnowaty at right tackle and Jaryd Jones-Smith at left tackle.
Really, moving Bookser to guard - or at least getting him comfortable with both guard and tackle - gives the coaches more options for getting their five best linemen on the field (if Bookser is one of the five best).
So at this point, my guess for the first-team OL to open spring camp would be Jones-Smith (LT), Dorian Johnson (LG), Artie Rowell if he can go 100%, which is up in the air, or Alex Officer (C), Bookser (RG) and Bisnowaty (RT). That's not a bad group.
