If you are a "recruiting" fan and care about what other schools offered a kid or how many stars a kid has or how his game tape looks, then 2017 is the year for us.
Realistically, we aren't landing a star studded class this time around. It will, in all likelihood, look very much like a Chryst class. That is an unfortunate fact.
If we win this year, perhaps we can jump early on Ford, Jeter, Wade, and Lugg for next year. The good news is that the WPIAL is loaded next year. The bad news is that 2 of the local 4 star OL guys are leaning towards the evil empire to the East.
Hope we win 9-10 and then 2017 we can recruit like a big boy school from top to bottom, rather than just a few studs. I'm not being negative, just realistic.
Even if we close with Gilbert, Hamlin, Mathews, Hudson, Pugh, Coleman, Wheeler, and Brown (I'm sure I'm forgetting a few kids) it will be a class that I'm relatively happy with, but it won't make a dent nationally or even in the ACC.
