I think that’s a reach….if that were the case, Pitt wouldn’t get anyone but I understand your perspective after watching Capel for 8 long, long years.

I doubt recruits know this and it’s silly to think Capel wouldn’t pump himself up if need be. Coach of the Year 2 years ago and multiple guys in the NBA or G-League.

I'm sure someone will not fail to mention those things. I just don't see the results on the court after 8 years. Making 1 play-in qualifier NCAAT game once in 8 years is not good. That negates the COY thing he got.
