Chris or anyone who follows WPIAL recruiting and stuff like that. Obviously all of us have soft spots for the Alma Maters and/or local HS's.
My HS has two fairly decent athletes, one in this current class of 2016, and one next year, 2017. In fact I am surprised I haven't heard more about the 2017 kid.
the 2016 kid actually plays with Team Evolve and the 412 crew. Jordan Lineburg I think is his name. He is listed at 6'3" 215lbs. I am guessing TE type of player. Perhaps not a P5 level kid, maybe a UConn type of level, still he has never been mentioned and he plays with Hamlin and company.
The 2017 kid is more intriguing. Brayden Thimons. He is the QB/LB at Highlands and made a splash last year QB'ng Highlands to a 10-1 record. But he is a big boy, only going to be a Jr, something like 6'3" 220lbs, so more looking at LB/TE. But he reminds me (and some others) as a Sean Lee type. Athletic enough to play Hoops and QB, but looks like a future LB. His cousin is the kid from Freeport who is going to WVU in the class of 2016.
