Steinbeck went to North Allegheny and was a two-time All-Patriot League selection before missing almost all of his senior season due to injuries. Despite essentially losing the 2014 season, he still finished 7th on Bucknell's career interception list with 11 picks. His 2014 Bucknell bio lists him at 6'0" and 210 pounds.
