Kathleen (Ga.) Veterans High School quarterback Logan Byrd was the first QB to get an offer from Pitt, which was interesting since Byrd was committed to Virginia Tech. Byrd just tweeted that he has reopened his recruitment, so this is obviously good news for Pitt. Byrd expressed interest in looking at Pitt despite the VT commitment, and now things seem open for more serious consideration.
