Refs asking for trouble

I don’t wanna see any brawls don’t get me wrong. I’ve just always been a fan of physical basketball. Not Detroit Pistons level and how crazy the NBA got for a while, but I’m good with some banging.
Look, I know we are bad.
But…there is plenty of contact on their traps, there is plenty of contact in the paint and at the hoop and WVU is walking all over the place, plus getting the benefit of offensive foul calls with much less contact.
WVU is good enough to win. I know they play this way and I know that they get away with it against everybody. Still..gives us a effen chance.
I didn’t realize this was another the refs are against Pitt kinda thing. Carry on, I’m done with this one.
This is going to sound like piling on Capel but man, stand up for your players when they are getting mugged. Huggy goes ape shit on every call they make against his team and Capel just stands there with his arms crossed.
Biggest issue I have in that first half was there was no adjustment for Femi off the dribble drive. He is getting gang rushed every time he goes to the rim since nobody on West Virginia respects our shooters and the paint is getting packed in as expected. Femi could have had multiple dump off pass assists off the penetration but he decided to jack up a shot with multiple defenders trying to stop him and his teammates standing around. He needs to make that pass like Knight would. No adjustment on this in the first half. It needs corrected in the 2nd off his dribble drive to look for teammates.
yep. No adjustments and Femi list his composure which he showed no signs of last year.
Honest question: In your best estimate, how many Legitimate WVU fouls have not been called?
They were called for 6 first half fouls
There was no fouls (not foul) on that time clock violation sequence?

I think there were more tacky offensive fouls called on us that were highly questionable more than anything. There's a lot of contact and reach ins, but this isn't a tightly called game which is going to benefit West Virginia.
This game brought back memories of some of the games we played back in the day against Georgetown. They would slap, hack, and bump you all night long and get away with it. Femi lost his cool but not without reason. He gets mugged on virtually every trip down the floor.
Mo was selfish at game’s end and turned it over - not that it mattered - but hanging over 60 was in the balance and had some bettors sweating depending on what line you bet. Mo has a bit more game than Brown had at similar height and wingspan.
Much better this game. Needs to quite dribbling so much and trying to do too much.
If he lets the game come to him, he can be a big help.

And it’s hard to believe a team can have 32 turnovers. Holy hell.
