Rod Strickland and Stanley Brundy were on that team too. Kevin Edwards, I think came a year later. David Booth in 87. Nice squad, but Illinois killed their momentum.

Duquesne went to the Final 4 twice, 1940 and 1952, haven't been to the NCAAs since 1977, Norm Nixon was the star of that team, he later won 2 NBA titles with the Show Time Lakers.

Yeah in the late 70's and early 80's Pitt and Duquesne (and WVU) were all on the same level. Then Pitt went to the Big East, became a recruiting juggernaut and probably with DePaul in that era, one of the most disappointing programs when it came to post season success.
