Will a Trey Murphy be more valuable to Pitt than a Trey and a Murphy?
I REALLY want Pitt to win one of these transfer battles against the big boys. I understand every team's needs are different, but it'd be nice to see us land one of the higher major guys.
It would not be surprising if they allowed anyone to transfer one time without having to sit out, especially with everything happening around the world right now.
I wouldn't hold my breath. Nothing those idiots do will surprise me. Last year they allowed Justin Fields to be eligible at OSU. I remember there was a player who wanted to transfer closer to home to be close to a sick relative who was denied.
Yeah, the Va Tech campus is 85 miles from his house, 5 miles past the cutoff. His Mom had been sick and was starting to recover a bit. No immediate eligibility because “she was starting to get better.”
Fields gets immediate eligibility because he lost the job at UGA, but another football blueblood needed a starting QB.
This guy is a serious player. I know he’s mentioned interest in Creighton/UConn and has a visit with Nova, so we have some competition (I think UConn is focusing on Nolley, but the other two will be players). Getting him and navigating the eligibility minefield to get him immediately eligible and I think we can upgrade our post season thoughts from NIT to NCAA. He’d be a great, great add
I also know ECU is in on him. The only reason that is significant is his father played there and he is from NC and I know his father has come back to alumni stuff.

McGowens and this Murphy kid both has to sit next year or they both are immediately eligible ...which happens ?
Any non-grad transfer this season has to sit out next season, unless they are granted a waiver by the NCAA.
Anybody can play the odds when they are in their favor. Why don’t you go out on a limb since you have all the answers? Who are we going to finish this class with, and who do we land in the fall signing period?

If we get both and Murphy gets the waiver IMO I think we get to 20 wins and Atleast get on the bubble if not get in.
Well, if you recall I said a week before it happened that Collier would commit. So I am 1/1 on those predictions.
We’re gonna get Jeffress by default and he should redshirt but probably won’t. We won’t get Murphy and we’ll either grab a low level grad transfer PG Or leave a scholarship open.
As for 21, Kind of hard to predict who we are gonna get when there is no AAU.

We got Shady McCoy by default when everyone else dropped him. I’ll take all the studs by default.
I couldn’t even give you one name we’re recruiting in 21 right now to be honest. How could anyone predict who were gonna get in 21 without any spring aau evals, scholarship numbers or anything. I’m sorry I know a lot of shit but I don’t have a crystal ball.
It makes zero sense to redshirt anyone for anything but injuries. Too much movement each year. If he can give 10 mpg you play him.
That is interesting because Penn St. was still trying to get Shady to change his mind after he verbally committed to us.
Yeah I agree because kids don't want to sit and learn no more. I bet with over 420+ in the portal and with what's going on if they don't vote for the 1 time transfer starting this year I bet they'll grant a lot of waivers this year.
Nope! No chance they’re putting hundreds of coaches into a gym with hundreds of crazy parents and aau coaches!
And most coaches probably don’t want it. Coaches are by and large very lazy in recruiting. Some might even “fall asleep” on the job.
When do you expect them to evaluate AAU players then? Things have changed with COVID-19.

I doubt there will be any AAU ball this year. My team only got one tournament in this spring before we shut it down.
