Rich Walsh

Someone on the fan (Starkey I believe) mentioned there is word that there has been a team meeting scheduled later today for Arizona.

reporting that Miller has been offered the Pitt job.

If this is true, and if what I believe about Barnes is true, then this is a done deal. I don't think Barnes is as incompetent as SP was in the FB fiasco to let JD walk and allow a public offer to Miller to be leaked without knowing hed sign. As I said, the new coach will be known before the week is up if my gut feeling about Barnes is true. If this drags on longer than Friday, we are in for a rough ride.

-You dont find it odd Dixon didnt give Pitt one mention at his small little press conference at TCU? Not one? hmm

Don't know what JD said and don't care. I do believe that Barnes has looked like the cat that swallowed the canary and wasn't terribly upset that JD left and had his man already locked up. We shall see.

-That's because Dixon had no say in the matter, none. Barnes pointed and Dixon moved.

Per the Fan, $$$ not an issue. They are discussing facility upgrades and whatnot. Walsh reporting > 50% chance it happens, FWIW.

Walsh will be on the Fan here in a minute or two if interested.

No. If I started a new job and had to address my new employees, I would not mention my prior employer. I would talk about what we would achieve together and how I looked forward to work with them.

-The professional way Kiwi, is saying, "I had a great experience at Pitt serving 17 years with them and had a lot of success, and I hope to bring that same success to TCU"

Dixon never was good in front of a camera.

Who cares?

I'm done worrying about what Dixon does and doesn't do. He's the coach of Tcu now.

Didn't realize there was a script that people followed. I wouldn't likely bring it up, on purpose.

You are like Jerry Seinfeld. Did you say "Jerry, what are YOU doing here" or "JERRY, what are you doing here".

No. But I am a professional.

Man this pathetic.

I feel bad for him but he should lose his job.

This is truly pathetic.

And now Pitt looks stupid and they didn't even do anything wrong.

Eh, maybe a little but it seems to happen in every coach search. But I would think Walsh would be in the doghouse. His sources are probably this board.

-Not necessarily. Nothing is complete without a contract signed. No one was in any actual meeting here, including Walsh or any reporter. Strictly Pitt and Miller.

Apparently Miller was never here, unless he came and left quickly this morning.

Walsh tweeted around noon that he was back from Florida and said he would quickly find out about pitt. He and Vukovan did some crazy twitter stuff implying big news. Then 2 hrs later he breaks the news for 20 minutes. I think it was all a ruse to drum up vucks hits on his site

The funny thing about this post is that Miller wasn't in the "meeting" either.

If there is only one person there can you still technically call it a meeting?
