RIP Nick Buoniconti

He was a unique person. Became an agent after football and Steinbrenner said he was the toughest he ever dealt with.

too many hits to the coconut. last interview i saw-he was shell of himself. after his son was made a quadriplegic many people would haVE just cashed in their chips. a life well lived.

My fourth grade (lady) teacher was a big Dolphins fan (this was in their heyday) and once made Buoniconti a bonus word on a spelling test. I recall that to this day. Nobody got it.

One of my favorite players from back when I first started watching football.

Agree!
One of the tough small ( 5'11 / 220) in body but refused to lose guys!
I think the 220 is overstated. I heard he was more like 200 on a good day!

Nick wasn't drafted but was picked up and had a SuperStar NFL career!

One of my favorites too!

He played tackle at ND and moved to LB in the NFL!
