Here are the Top 100 rivals Recruits for 2017 with Players that have Pitt listed along with many as expected. I also put up the PA Recruiting Link:
https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-3720
However, I would like to note a few things. Notice another Top OL from Brooklyn, NY, and Pitt got a OL Committ from Brooklyn in 2016. The same for Clairton and Central Catholic High Schools in 2016. The same for a Pitt Recruit Lakeland, Florida, already on Pitt Team now. A few of the Top 100 are from those towns.
Additionally, I remember being at a Dinner and asking Jay Paterno why Penn State does not recruit Florida? He said, they found out it take 2 to 3 stop overs to fly and then ride or catch a Prop to Penn State, and that seems to turn off the Recruits.
Pitt is easier and has direct flights with no problem. Pitt has one Florida Recruit in 2015 and four in 2016, unlike Franklin zero in both years?
According to PennLive, Franklin is targeting Florida but he came up short after going after Recruits in 2016 and 2015. In 2014, Franklin brought 2 from Florida that had committed to Vanderbilt but went with him to Penn State.
Guess Jay Paterno was right after all about the travel problems, based on Franklin's late failures for going after some Florida Players that rejected Penn State, including that ones he failed to take away from that stayed with Pitt?
Moreover, looks like Coach Pat Narduzzi & Staff are gaining attention based on their reputations on coaching and now recruiting. They already have a Top 50 Recruit in Paris Ford and has been added to many more Top 100 Recruits versus last year? Pitt has the buzz on many Recruiting Ratings again, due to Coach Pat & Staff hard work.
Finally, Pitt as earned an AFCA Academic Achievement Award in 2015 and 2014 graduating over 75% of its Players. Franklin did not do that at Penn State in 2015 nor at Vanderbilt in 2013? Franklin has missed 2 of 3 years now?
