Speaking of Duquesne, what are their chances of upgrading from the NEC at some point? Several other A10 schools (URI, Richmond) compete in the CAA Football league… is that a possibility for them?

I think the NEC is holding on for dear life because of travel costs. Basically two groups of schools that are bunched together.

True, tough for a lot of those small New England schools to travel several hours west to play St. Francis, Mercyhurst, etc. There were a lot of good schools who got poached by the MAAC, Horizon, and others.

For Duquesne and RMU football’s sake, I hope it remains intact.

Not interested in that school at all .

RMU more your cup of tea?

Here's their road schedule:

Aug 30 @ WVU
Sep 6 @ YSU
Oct 4 @ Merrimack
Oct 18 @ LIU
Oct 25 @ St. Francis
Nov 1 @ Stonehill

Also, RMU is back in the NEC for football-only and that conference has a decidedly Western PA feel with half the league being there (RMU, Duq, Mercyhurst, SFU).
