I'm really rooting for RMU to upset 'Bama. They're giving them all they can handle right now. I'd hate to think what RMU would do to Pitt this year. Or what they'd do to many ACC teams.
What would have been the spread if Pitt played RMU on a neutral court yesterday?
RMU is impressive. Ball movement, defense, rebounding. The fundamentals. I'd give anything to get Dickerson here and somehow get Andy Toole as our head coach. That dude knows how to coach.
You have zero clue what you are talking about. Pitt would’ve been a 6-7 point favorite on a neutral court. That may not be what current results say, but that is what the power ratings say.RMU -5. But RMU would beat Pitt by double digits.

Well they are certainly playing much better right now but that has nothing to do with the betting line. Try hanging RMU -5 over Pitt and see what happens. That's right but only based on metrics skewed by November. RMU is legitimately better than Pitt.

You lecturing me over betting lines is comical. And Pitt would have lost to RMU by 20. RMU only lost to 'Bama by 9. So you're telling me that Pitt would have been a 6-7 point favorite over RMU? I don't give a rat's ass about your power ratings, whatever those are. I'm talking reality. Get back to me when you're back in reality.

Well that hurts, because that was my career and how I made, and to some degree still make my livelihood. So I guess we will leave it at that.I'm not lecturing you on betting lines because I don't care about betting lines. Betting lines are the comical thing as are those who believe in them.
The refs are giving Bama some gifts. RMU shouldn't be a 15 seed and Bama doesn't look anywhere near a 2.

I had a serious discussion with myself during the RMU game. Do I give up my Pitt season tickets in favor of RMU season tickets? The majority of their games were very much more entertaining than Pitt’s. Seriously bandied that around for a while. RMU really needs the support of the community. Way too many games of theirs where there might’ve been 200 people there.

You probably missed this from a little while ago, but he has no idea what he is talking about on this topic. He posted before the Pitt - Georgia Tech game that Georgia Tech was going to be favored by four or five points. I told him he was crazy, that Pitt was going to be favored by 6 or 7. Pitt ended up being favored by 8-1/2. And then when the game was over he came back to that thread a crowed that he got it right. In reality, of course, he missed it by 12-1/2 points. Which is a ridiculously large amount to miss a point spread by.
But it became more and more obvious that he had/has no idea what it means to say a team is favored. He thinks that the team he thinks is going to win the game is the favorite. It's actually kind of comical that someone could be a sports fan in 2025 and have no idea what a point spread is or what saying a team is going to be favored means, but here we are.
Pitt was such an easy team to make money on because their Nov/Dec play through the metrics out of whack. I agreed that that was what Pitt would be favored by but only because their Nov/Dec showed the public how good they can be. In reality, GT was better but you can't make them a favorite because Pitt had a strongish resume
