My brother knows a lot more about basketball than I do, having played and coached. (Hope he doesn't see this.)
Yesterday he commented that Robinson's improvement this year is mainly due to jumping better. He is getting more elevation on his jump shot and more hang time on drives to the hoop.

Anybody notice this, or agree/disagree? I know he had some nagging leg injuries last year, but maybe he trained to improve this.

:) Or perhaps he is no longer fatigued.

JR played last year mostly on one leg.

Where'd you to community college, dummy? At least you can use your community college MBA to balance your check book and work the till at Walmart because that's as close as a dummy like you will ever get to an business situation. 80, 000 posts on two blog sites - you're both sick and dumb.

How much do I owe you for rent?

Your brother may be right ..... at the very least JRob looks healthy and in better shape this season so far ..... I suspect he put in a lot of hours trying to improve over the summer .... he also is another year experienced ....... all these things may be factors in his improvement this season....... and I do believe he is improved this year.

As one poster mentioned... he was playing on one leg last year.

There was something... somewhere but I forget now... where James stated something along those lines.... that it was a big difference this year jumping off of two legs instead of one.

But still.... 2-10 shooting that follows the same script as last year. A real tough game against GT just 3 days previous where he had to run around covering Adam Smith like a glove... and was clearly tired... maybe exhausted... at the end. When James has games like that and then a short rest... things like the 2-10 shooting.

Yeah, there are those that say this is crazy but.... they cannot see the writing on the wall and... are fools. Happened last year multiple times and now again this year. It's just that last year it went on for multiple games... the shooting slump... so hopefully he will recover more quickly this year.

Also.... people don't appreciate how good James is. Not only the A/T ratio but managing the team while he is on the court. AND.... he is our best perimeter defender by far. After the GT game Brian Gregory made the point about saying how good he is.... and a LOT of that has to do with James shutting down Adam Smith. The reason Smith went off for 30 against us.... was when someone else tried to cover him... nothing but net.

Yeah, when next year comes along and James is not here, even though Wilson and Milligan both have a lot of potential, THAT is when everyone will realize how good he was.

I saw Michael Jordon play once as a pro and he was 2 or 3/16 shots. Don't judge anyone on one poor shooting performance.JRs shooting helps ,but this team needs his court leadership there's enough offense on this team without him hitting as the ND proved.

I was convinced he would look a lot better last year because I felt he was wore down his first two years from the U19 team play, which was travel and all, but also kept him from training to really get into shape. Maybe he was hurt last year, IDK.

However, the biggest thing IMO is the team around him is INFINITELY better.

He can really sit back, handle the ball, pick and choose times to assert himself.

He might be healthier, but the fact is, Artis and Young are the offense, they get all of the other team's attention and are good enough right now to get their offense even when teams focus on them.

JRob simply is not a guy who can impose himself on a game. He's a complimentary lead guard, and has a LOT more around him now. More talent, more maturity, more depth ...

Give the kid credit where due. Best assist to turnover ratio in NCAA history. That's what you get from a DeMatha PG. Really a great school that for years was all about the fundamentals of basketball. They're not going to produce kids like Russell Westbrook who can shoot 3's and soar through the air. They make kids like J-Rob, very, very smart players with great court vision and ball control. He really is a superb floor general, we have just been spoiled with the likes of Fields and such who we are comparing James to.
