Roster replacement - Where it stands

Drumgoole - Santos
X - Burton
Toney - Oladapo

Coulibaly -
Brown -
14th scholarship -

(Justin) -
(Hugley) -

Fairly happy so far - Lets see how it ends
The needle hasn't moved much to this point based on the players we've brought in. Burton/Oladapo is probably a slight drop-off in talent overall vs. X/Toney. Santos should be better than Drumgoole (a low bar). Everything hinges on getting quality players at the 4 and 5 (the issue of Champ returning aside).

The more I think about it, as time passes, I'm thinking Hugley might only end up with a slap on the wrist. At which time, there might be an interesting decision to make.

Same thought with Champ, longer this goes the better.

Hope you are right.

That would put us nearly there.

Yep. Its what I've said all along. As long as there's no evidence he participated in the act of stealing the car, "I didn't know it was stolen" is enough to get a minor sentence

he is pretty much an accessory not the actual perp no?

Gary, do you know who some of the top remaining center transfers are? Hopefully we’re “in” on one of them.

He drove the stolen car
The odds of 3 felony charges becoming a slap on the wrist is about nil
i never read all the details so i never commented on questioms or speculation of outcomes. Based on what you said i would agree there

I know nothing on Hugely, but it's possible it has dragged on this long because he has been place in some sort of pre-trial diversion program and if he satisfies some obligations, the charges will be dropped.

In my distant past I was a legal aid lawyer who handled 10 new GLA cases a week. Every one - where the defendant had no record - was reduced to no worse than a petit theft misdemeanor. Of course that was in another city but I would not be surprised if that government attitude over GLA applies across all metropolises. I doubt Hugely gets worse than probation with a community service component.

I think you may have meant to quote another poster that was discussing Hugely’s charges. Regardless, I hope you’re right and he’s given a second chance.
