Get rid of dead wood and recruit like hell? Or is just going to be a repeat of this year with another JUCO center on the bench?

Can we pull a Huggy?

It would be nice to get rid of Newkirk and James Robinson both.

But we basically have zero guard talent on the team roster and only 1 guard coming in. Both Johnson's are 3's.

Dixon still is recruiting wings like Davon Dillard (Now a Cal commit), Corey Manigault (Forward), Konate Center , Diallo Center , Yakwe Forward, ETC...

Temple Gibbs is now visiting schools.

We have no guards. none. We can't even get rid of the current bad guards because we have no one coming in to replace them.

2015 there is very little left. 2016 Dixon is going after a bunch of wings, forward, and centers. Pitt has Heron. Need guards, Im the boards biggest broken record, but at least 75% of the board now can see how awful our guards really are.

I can't imagine Uchebo and Haughton not getting run off. Who they can get to fill those ships is anyone's guess but I would imagine they'll be in hard on some grad transfer possibilities as that's become quite popular.

He has a 10-year contract! Of course he can pull a Huggins. He NEEDS to. Purge the roster of the dead weight. If he doesn't it will just be a re-run of this year. What's the point?

Hey Steel anyone who recognizes what a basketball looks like realizes our guard play stinks. No need to hijack or crowbar it in to so many topics. We get it.

I think Uchebo and Haughton are kind of the extent of what you can get rid of.

If we had a few great guards lined up, then maybe you consider whether Newkirk should stay around, but we aren't in that position. Plus I'd hope something clicks this offseason with him. He isn't completely lacking talent.

Luther wasn't great, but he shouldn't have had to play yet. You can't give up on him already.

Best hope is we can land a guard ready to play right away. Gibbs from Seton Hall would be perfect. Or Heron reclassifying. Other than that I don't know. And we could use another big to go with Nix...Levi Cook possibly. Not sure if there are any 5th transfer possibilities as a 1 year rental.

The roster and coaching staff needs adjustments. A simple addition to the back end of the coaching staff is putting Ashton in some role. Video Coordinator for example. That will land us both Gibbs brothers.

Team is a true decent center and shooting point guard away from being very competitive as long as they can defend.
Many of those penetrating lay ups go away with legit center. Scoring is not bad just need stops.

Even with someone to guard the rim the still need better perimeter defense. There's just no way around it. A rim protector will help don't get me wrong but they just get abused on the perimeter.

Barton... no brainer. Knight has brought in a few recruits and given what he has to work with *athletically* - there is nothing anyone can do. Jones is just not quick enough to play ACC basketball. He needs to go. Ditto with Newirk and Robinson.

Seriously... just get rid of all the guards and start over. It is that pathetic.

Brandin and Barton

Time to point out our guard play and development is in the dumpster with knight being a top assistant.

First, get rid of players wasting scholarships.

Second, get rid of coaches who are wasting salaries and can't recruit good enough players for the ACC

Pull a few scholarships and recruit, recruit, recruit.

Take 4 or 5 each of the next two years.

Knight is not a #1 asst. Barton is useless. Smoke was the #3 guy at UMass. Changes need to be made. I said the same thing before.
