Rothstein tweet: meeting friday

Wait, isn't the 'athletic board' full of Penn Staters?
Yes they sealed the Stallings deal??
I'm sure they have the best interests of PITT sports on their minds at all times?

Happy Valley Hero's making a living in Pittsburgh at the University of Pittsburgh? What could go wrong?

If PITT wastes time, jerking around with Miller they've officially lost their minds or they're showing their total incompetence!

Move on and get someone (hint Oaks) onboard soon which will get the program moving forward and shut up the anti PITT, PIttsburgh media ( how is that possible).

I do not see any way the admin allows Miller to be hired. If he is then all the other top preferred guys said no and they caved and told Lyke she could hire him.
could well be looking at better odds we can’t field a team than win an ACC game next year.
And that is DEFINITELY WORSE than where we were just 3 weeks ago..

-The only reason to even have this meeting is to discuss Sean Miller, or, someone like Pitino. Anything else besides that would be completely pathetic. You have a search firm and now you need a meeting to discuss candidates? What the hell is this, the NCAA Tournament selection process for the Pitt coaching job? Mark Schmidt now advanced to the Pitt final 4 for the job? The organization of this University if someone isnt hired in 48 hours is rock bottom at D1.

We have a winner. Guys, trust me on this.... Now that Hurley has turned them down, they want to know why she is not willing to hire Sean when he is very interested in the job...

If anyone wants Miller that’s obviously their prerogative. But if anyone needs it explained to them why she’s not willing or skittish about hiring him they’re a litttle slow on the uptake.

Money talks... The big donors are stepping up to pay the next basketball coach 3.5 million. The big donors are the ones that's going to pay for Stallings to go away... They'll have a big say or they'll take their money elsewhere...

This is exactly why the PITT recently released comedy show "Chasing Hurley" was a mistake.

If PITT had gone after reasonable coaching options like Oaks and others this would most likely be a Done Deal by now.

Unless they're "voting" on the final selection of a coach, the second guessing starts, maybe we need more input/the committee expands?, all the irrelevant opinions from the irrelevant roll out, paralysis sets in, committe members are afraid to make decisions, voice honest opinions, on and on!

Next step is a train wreck!

Or they'll be asking the proposed to be installed Statue outside the Cathedral her opinion???????????

This is an athletic meeting that was already scheduled not a special meeting. That being said, there can only be one topic in this meeting.

The board meeting is their regularly scheduled board meeting. Nothing to see there. Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this?? I'm sure some discussion will be about a new hoops coach, but not the whole meeting.

First off i thought they should have kept Stallings 1 more year. No one except the blue blood schools can win with 11 new players. Let them grow ! 3 or 4 of those players would be good 1st or 2nd team players. Then if Stallings team not him still suck have a new coach in your back pocket ready to sign ! Who ever that over this team is going to lose badly the first few years ! that's why hurley didn't want the job and like Graham his wife would have hated it here and wouldn't have stayed. Remember happy wife happy life !!

Last, if I had a vote I think Musselman might be the best hire and PLEASE forget about Miller.

Wonder if it’s coincidence that that’s pretty much what Miller makes at Arizona.

Was it necessary for him to post today "Jamie Dixon went to 11 NCAA Tournaments in 13 seasons at Pitt and averaged 25.2 wins per year. The Panthers had a great coach and didn't appreciate him. Facts are facts."
I think it provides proper context to the current situation, so it is appropriate. Almost no commentary is actually necessary.
