I looked at the RPI to see if there were any teams outside of the top100 who could potentially play their way into the top 100--thus giving us another quality win or two.
FSU- some had hoped that they could get hot and get inside the top100. It is highly unlikely. They have a tough schedule and they still have to play Pitt...a game we need to win for our tourney hopes. The bottom line is there is no likely scenario that gets them below 100, unless they go on a major win streak that includes us. I played with their RPI Wizard and it is extremely doubtful.
FGCU- Another team on the cusp of the top 100. They project out into the 90's, barring a stumble in their last two games or in their tourney. Hopefully chalk holds and we pick up a top 100 win here.
Georgia Tech- they also sit just outside the top100. They play Louisville (H), Clemson(A), and UNC (H). The'd have to beat Louisville and Clemson. A loss to UNC at home would put them around 99. They would then have to win an ACC tourney game to stay above 100. Seems pretty unlikely.
