No. Tressel will be the only DC at MSU. Hill be be defensive backs coach at MSU if he agrees to making the move.
I’m not devastated we lost Hill or Conklin.

Well, he did go to and play for MSU, so there's that.
I love pitt and even if money were same, I think MSU is a tiny bit of a promotion. No shame in admitting msu is above pitt on the college football totem pole. Throw in fact that the guy is from there, calls that home and well, no issues with him leaving.
The most important thing a position coach can do in College Football is recruit. It doesn't seem like he was a dynamic recruiter and/or a DC in waiting, so I don't think this is a big loss.
Most of our coaches , including head coach , are coaches in waiting and in training for MSU, see Whisky before that ......Pirates are farm team for Yankees etc, like we are for the Big 10 and others
The money spent on trying to recruit Michigan was a waste. Hopefully the next two hires have ties to our actual historic and ongoing recruiting turf (PA, NJ, FL, OH, NY, MD/DC/VA.)
Reminds me of when Dixon hired that assistant who came from UMASS that supposedly had a major footprint in the Detroit area. His names escapes me but he had AAU ties. I laughed at that hire because any recruit worth anything in that area is going to Mich St, Mich, Ohio St, etc.. unless you were a blue blood type program who could steal a kid from another blue blood like Mich St. It was a total waste of a resource for a school like Pitt. You need to hire guys with connections to our recruiting areas and Detroit is not going to be one of those areas on a regular basis.
In all seriousness how much better were they?? Miami’s QB missed open WR all day. Defense is judged by entire season and the past 3 years overall were horrendous.

he sucked the two games I watched him. He must have had a hell of a first half of the season but I expect a lot better when thinking about a QB at Miami. Maybe I just caught his two worst games.. I did watch the Miami vs. va tech game so that was 3 games but I cant recall how he played in that game.

well MSU is a step up, I mean you don't have to be a hater to admit that. normally I don't care too much about a position coach but im going out on a limb and assuming that MSU did reach out to him, possibly extend offer and Duzzi thought well enough to make a counter offer. More assumptions here but if he wasn't well thought of, I don't think duzzi makes counter offer. So I guess im a hater and im still a tad happy about this development..
