Here’s to hoping Teddy Buckets isn’t dealing with some of his mental health demons he has battled all his life. Really affable kid.Losing to Nebraska by 30 points and Teddy Allen opted out. The crazy world of college basketball.

Must have been a road game because we have all been told that the RAC is an impossible place to win at.I hope we can have as strong a basketball program as Rutgers someday.
Remember when Oscar left and HUGGY said they’d be better and they were? What an incredible coachIts amazing how many talented kids Huggy kicks off and just keeps winning. That dude from Nicholls State he booted lit us up. Huggy has NOOO problem getting talent to come to Morgantown
Huggs is a legend. Yet, even he has had to hit the reset button a time or two on rosters. Its amazing how many talented kids Huggy kicks off and just keeps winning. That dude from Nicholls State he booted lit us up. Huggy has NOOO problem getting talent to come to Morgantown

Oscar leaving was enlightening. Technically, are we really a better team without Oscar? Probably not. However, Oscar leaving allowed us to realize that we are an offensive team and that’s how we were built...with the exception of Oscar, who was a high motor monster last season. Our offense was not spaced at all though with he and Culver in the game.Remember when Oscar left and HUGGY said they’d be better and they were? What an incredible coach
I would say that Huggy has an enormous amount of respect from just about all of the long-time posters here. Hard to say a bad word about him. Even his grumpiness is charming.Remember when Oscar left and HUGGY said they’d be better and they were? What an incredible coach
Yep, no doubt. He’s kind of a difficult person to dislike. What you see is what you get.I would say that Huggy has an enormous amount of respect from just about all of the long-time posters here. Hard to say a bad word about him. Even his grumpiness is charming.

Ha. If Huggs saw him now, he’d probably apologize and buy him a beer. I bet Huggs was a prick when he was younger.Haha, yeah, I know what you mean. I have a buddy who coached a ton of basketball ( and is a really good guy fwiw) and he and Huggs roomed together for 3-4 weeks one summer working a basketball camp somewhere when they were both just starting out. Well about 2-3 years later, I think Huggs was an assistant at OSU or somewhere, Huggs was speaking at a clinic my buddy attended, well after the talk my buddy goes up to see him and Huggs was a complete jerk, really blew him off, I still laugh about it...my buddy just shakes his head
In fairness - being a lifelong alcoholic affects memory and moodHaha, yeah, I know what you mean. Puking on your own shoes while screaming at cops “don’t you know who I am ?!?” Likely shows it wasn’t just a youth thingHa. If Huggs saw him now, he’d probably apologize and buy him a beer. I bet Huggs was a prick when he was younger.
It’s been interesting to see his transformation over the years. He’d get hot over calls regularly. He still isn’t afraid to bitch at an official but he’s much calmer (age and health will do that). Also, I’ve NEVER seen a coach work the officials more than Bob Huggins.
I recall a couple dustups he started at the Fitz. Nasty SOB. Grg and Joedy Gardner had to be restrained, Tiger Paul got into with the coon hat. Such fun!!Haha, yeah, I know what you mean. I met John Beilein at a seafood restaurant in Cape May. It was right after his Airport situation
Playstation??John Beilein was recruiting a teammate of mine so I got to a play a 2 on 2 game so he can evaluate the other player. Unfortunately, he did not offer me a scholarship.
