Sagarin "Recent" Rating

Has Pitt the #220 team nationally. Even with the continuing influence of the Sagarin starting rating, Pitt's regular Sagarin rating is at #127--dead last in ACC behind BC. Which rating will be closer to reality come January 1st?

Hoping vs hope it will get below #100 and ahead of BC.

Kenpom 279 and 220 or something close to that. Pitt was 169.

The next 5 pre lines look something similar to this and will move as the season goes forward (Robbins returning for Vandy could move the Vandy line for example). How many can we win, if any, with or without Burton. For Capel's sake, he really needs to win 3 at minimum.

UNC Wilmington- -7.5
Towson- -4.5
Vanderbilt- +5
UMBC- -5
Minnesota +2


If they full collapse during these 5 games it's going to be a really, really, ugly year. Players wont start to quit or not buy in to what Capel wants after 2 losses. In other words, players are still going to try hard after 2 games. And 0-7 start would be a death spiral for the team. And I am not predicting we are beating any of these teams with only 1 true guard.

Pitt is # 127 Sagarin (but Sagarin "Recent" is still # 220)

Sagarin 'Recent" would expect Pitt to struggle in these two games.

I think they win 2 out the next 3 cupcake games but its possible we start 0-9
