Sanctions....

i really hate talking about "the sanctions" and won't after this. UPS has been using this excuse now for a couple of years. It's over! Can't use it anymore, all we will hear now is how great they are. Well after the win Saturday the excuse of sanctions is over. No more, zilch.! They have used it in their favor long enough poor james franklin what will he say now when they lose? guess they forgot about the real victims already ...but the players at least can heal...what bullshit!

I don't disagree. I've said that the sanctions goodwill ends after this season. If you want to start saying that they have no more goodwill after last night, I think that's fine.

I lived in penn state territory for many years and I can tell you there will ALWAYS be an excuse. Sanctions, referees, injuries, conference conspiracy, and the list goes on and on. They believe they are perfect and if they lose then it wasn't their team, it was something else. The other team never beats them, they always have help. Funny thing is they will never admit to cheating Nebraska and Alabama in the 80's, but will say they were robbed in 1994. They are a hypocritical bunch and the arrogance of those people is staggering and what is worse is there is no basis for it. The only thing paterno did that no other coach did was stay in the same place for 45 years. He didn't win the most national titles, he is way down the list on that one and he only won a couple of conference titles. As for the most wins, well duh, if you stay in one place for 45 years you are bound to win the most games.

I agree, after this season sanctions should not be used as an excuse. We are still thin on back ups.
