Following today's commitments, we are now slated for 84 players on scholarship for 2020 as signing day approaches (see below), meaning we can add one more before any further attrition has to occur. This is based on the following present assumptions:
- Therran Coleman does not return after entering the transfer portal
- Tre Tipton does not return for a sixth year
- John Vardzel is not on scholarship (or any other walk-on)
- No underclassmen declare for the NFL Draft
- Jordan Addison signs on Wednesday
- Timothy Brown does not sign on Wednesday
Obviously, some of those assumptions can/will change, but easy to see how we could add three or four more by Wednesday (Chris Bleich, Derek Bermudez, Buddy Mack, Akheem Mesidor, Bryan Robinson?), plus a couple more by the second signing day in February (Allen Horace, Alex Atcavage, Owen Snively, Timothy Brown again, a QB?), and still get back down to 85 for next season.
