What I saw was a very good offense showing up and will be hard to beat this year.
Although I agree with you that there was too many arm tackles, I was happy to see follow up tackles showing up in mili-seconds after the initial hit. I did not see that often last year.
Once the Defensive Players are in better condition as well as becoming bigger and stronger by August, I think we will see a more consistent Defense than last year.
They do look like need to build themselves up far more than the Offensive Players! Boy, how some recruits switched or chose Penn State the 4th best Defense last year over Pitt needing them to play this year is just beyond me.
The smarter recruits should know to go to where he can play right away by being needed, just my opinion!
I was pleased to see both units practicing at a high level and looking forward going to the Spring Game, if I can make it.

you saw a defense that has finally been taught to fly to the ball. and yes tackling technique as taught under the previous defensive staff was just bad, that's not all going to be solved in 4 weeks of spring practice.
Narduzzi hasn't cured all the bad habits some of these guys have had ingrained into them their whole lives in 12 practices? Fire his ass!
My takeaway from this clip was that (1) Ollison is a beast with real talent and (2) Bertke can spin it.
The word is the defense is already looking a lot better than it did last year. Guys are flying to the ball and playing downhill.
