Next year Duzz is on the clock
Why do I have this ominous feeling that by the end of year 4 we will still be mediocre and Narduzzi will want out and leave. And who is coming in next year that will all of a sudden turn the defense around? As far as I am concerned our recruiting for next year is not very good and that is year 3 of Narduzzi. How long do we give him, year 9??Next year Duzz is on the clock
Great job?? Huh?? C'mon man. This team is two players away from being undefeated . Two cornerbacks is all that's needed . Was he handed a roster that was ready to win ? Year two he's doing a great job .
Maybe because that's the kind of person you seem to be on these boards? I choose not feel ominous about the future under HCPN. The fact that the team never quit on him last night or any game for that matter is very telling. I have confidence based on his very strong resume that Narduzzi will address the issues with the defense and it may take the time to get the right players here. You're absolutely loco about that.Next year Duzz is on the clock
Or maybe because Pitt has been disappointing for over 3 decades and it becomes next to impossible to keep having the Pollyanna attitude that you and some others always want to have. This is another in a long line of 6-6, 7-5 seasons and I don't see any huge impact next season with mostly 3 star guys coming here.Maybe because that's the kind of person you seem to be on these boards? yep, changing coaches ever 3 years is the key to success!Next year Duzz is on the clock
Maybe I'm a Pollyanna, but I have to imagine I'm a much happier person than you. Don't get me wrong - I get disappointed and angry at times about Pitt, but I support them win or lose. If it ever came to the point that all I did was bitch about them, I think it would be healthier to walk away and find something else to do. I know of 107,000 football fans who would sell their souls (if they had one) to trade their coach for Narduzzi.yep, changing coaches every 3 years is the key to success!
I am a passionate Pitt fan so yeah, when they continuously crap the bed year after year I don't like it. But aside from Pittsburgh sports I consider myself very happy. I like what I am doing, workout 5 days a week and enjoy life. But unlike you who rarely if ever criticizes the program I am tired of losing.Maybe I'm a Pollyanna, but I have to imagine I'm a much happier person than you. You do know the difference between being tired of losing and moaning about everything all the time? It is crystal clear that there is very little you like about either the football or basketball programs, so why keep bashing your head against the wall? Seems like a crazy way to demonstrate your "passion".I am a passionate Pitt fan so yeah, when they continuously crap the bed year after year I don't like it. Well excuse me, maybe I am mistaken but isn't this a message board?? Where people have different opinions? I appreciate your diagnosis though doctor. Will my Prozac be ready by noon? You do know the difference between being tired of losing and moaning about everything all the time? Absolutely! Share it with your friends.Well excuse me, maybe I am mistaken but isn't this a message board?? Where people have different opinions? I appreciate your diagnosis though doctor. Will my Prozac be ready by noon?
I was very clear you're entitled to your opinions. I was only pointing out that they're usually pretty miserable and it seems crazy if you really feel this way why you bother supporting the team at all. JMO.Well excuse me, maybe I am mistaken but isn't this a message board?? Where people have different opinions? I appreciate your diagnosis though doctor. Will my Prozac be ready by noon?
You are the last person I ever need to explain why I root for a particular team. But maybe the fact that I grew up in Pittsburgh and went to many games and watched them with my father all of my life MIGHT have something to do with it.I was very clear you're entitled to your opinions. Thanks. You're right. We're all entitled to our opinion. What's your take on coach's sideline performance?I was very clear you're entitled to your opinions. I was at the game and haven't watched it on the DVR, so I have no opinion.Thanks. You're right. We're all entitled to our opinion. What's your take on coach's sideline performance?
Cool. Have at it then. But don't get defensive when others point out how miserable you come across most of the time here. You are the last person I ever need to explain why I root for a particular team. If you are happy other than Pittsburgh sports, then, if you're smart, you give them up for another sports city or team. It is obvious that you and a few others, are 'miserable' and don't enjoy Pitt football. So, do yourself a favor, pick another team that wins every game, then you can post some positives on the message board. You would then have a fulfilling life and enjoy ALL aspects.

This is why I watch CFB in general. My dad loves it and because of him so do I. We've both come to the realization that Pitt is destined to be the way they looked last night, always looking for the brass ring, never grasping it. However, the beauty of sports is that optimism is eternal. The Pens looked dead in the water in 2002 and 15 years later they've won 2 cups. I can understand why you rub some the wrong way but I totally understand where you are coming from. My dad feels sorry for me because I wasn't around for the 70's teams and I for him because he will never see it again.
That's very funny since I never "shilled" for Pederson ever - I just chose not to bitch about him all the time. I do think he did a good job the first time around, the second not so much and I agree he should have been fired. We have a winner, and if up to her, she would be shilling for Pedey, as she did often
That's the funniest thing I've read on a message board in a month or two.

If you mean "on the clock" as being on the hot seat, then that's just plain silly.Next year Duzz is on the clock
I don't see any clue that Narduzzi is a good head coach other than his tantrum abilities. He's top 5 in that department.I am on the negative mostly, but I see them after 1 2/3 seasons self inflicting a bit less, winning a bit more than I thought overall. Still blamable concerns, but also clues Narduzzi and Canada are good coaches.
