Season over

Why do I have this ominous feeling that by the end of year 4 we will still be mediocre and Narduzzi will want out and leave. And who is coming in next year that will all of a sudden turn the defense around? As far as I am concerned our recruiting for next year is not very good and that is year 3 of Narduzzi. How long do we give him, year 9??

This team is two players away from being undefeated . Two cornerbacks is all that's needed . Was he handed a roster that was ready to win ? Year two he's doing a great job .

We could easily and should be undefeated with the current terrible cornerbacks. But yes, two cornerbacks would make it an absolute certainty we'd be undefeated right now. OK St., UNC, Va. Tech all ranked, all tough loses that were pretty ridiculous that we couldn't get the win. All of them.

I'm with you, we don't have a very good roster (aside from some real stars offensively), and we have competed with almost everyone we've played in 2 years. We'll see what happens 2 weeks in Clemson, but Narduzzi is doing better than great considering the talent level. He could make tweaks to the defense and not be so stubborn, but bottom lines kids are right there to make plays most of the time and just aren't good enough to go out and do it. We'll continue to improve, bright days ahead.

I feel bad for my son, got him involved as a baby, he been going for years, a rabid fan , he is 21, so he has never seen great football like some of us have. I don't even know how Pitt can expect and think they deserve any fans that are 30 or younger. Those people should be given a badge of honor

Yeah the Pitt glory days for us youngsters.... Well, 2009 was a great season. It was cool seeing them in the Fiesta Bowl (albeit blown out). The Fitz years were a blast, almost beating #1 Miami in '02. 12-0, 13-9, some awesome games in there too but great seasons didn't follow those games. 26 years I've been alive and that's basically the best of Pitt football in that time.

When I'm down though, I just think.... at least we're not Penn State!
