Why would they have the championship on New Year’s Eve night?!?!

I thought they were New Year’s Day bowls? I actually went out with wife to a nice dinner and celebration had a blast and woke to the headline that the big 10 yet again got pummeled. Seems weird to have major sporting event on on the biggest night of going out of the year

January 1, 2023 being on a Sunday jumbled things a bit.

But despite having participants on both semis, the B1G went POOF!!! Gonzo.

So for yet another year, the Big 2 Conference has no NC.

We spent NYE in Atlanta and went to the Peach Bowl last night (brother and his family are big Buckeye fans… felt weird being back there after last year). Overall, Ohio State played a great game and had a solid game-plan (aside from situational play calling), but arm tackling and a lack of discipline in the front seven was their downfall. Too many broken tackles and they were baited with the simplest jet motions and slip screens. Don’t think the “SEC” size and speed had anything to do with it, but more so poor coaching. But hey, blame the loss on the kicker!

When the semifinals are not the Rose and Sugar, they are held on December 31.. unless December 31 is a Sunday. In that case, they are held on the 28th, 29th, or 30th.
