Incredible. I'm sure he'll get a big deal. Eagles must not have wanted to pay him, and also must be pretty sold that Alonso is fully recovered.
Guess I'll start watching the Bills. Hope to god they draft a QB or it will be like the Bill Stull days (but with an incredible defense)!

Yeah after reading up I see you're right. Looks like a great move money-wise for the eagles, but they sure gave up one hell of a player.

With a strong defense and rising talent in the WR corp, QB is certainly the glaring hole. If they can fix it, things may fall together very nicely in Buffalo. That fan base is long overdue for some good fortune for a change.
One downside for Pitt is he won't get the " media facetime" in Buffalo that he got in Philadelphia.
We live in the Philly TV market and he appreared on sports shows with a Pitt shirt on and mentioned Pitt a lot when interviewed!
During the player intros Pitt got some PR when they got to McCoy and every once in a while the announcers would mention McCoy was from Pitt.
The Philadelphia market is a big one and recruiting is owned by the Nitters so any PR that Pitt received was helpful!

Exposes this past fall ... it was either ESPN magazine, or SI (?) ... showed a pretty strained relationship between Kelly and Shady. Kelly seemed to think he was an undisciplined slacker, and the article described how he tried to force Shady to clamp down on his private life indulgences and work out maniacally instead. Went to the extreme that Shady was afraid to eat a piece of cake on his own birthday. You could sense this wasn't going to end well.
Mariota won't even cost that much since he'll be a rookie. I think it was more about re-signing Maclin personally.
