Since Barnes messed up BB hire, better wait on a stadium. Temple hires architects.

U shouldn't be. A 35k akron-esque stadium in a bad neighborhood, is nothing to be jealous over.

I'm envious because they will have their own on campus stadium, with the own choice of turf and their own branding and their own choice of seat color. It will actually feel like a college atmosphere, albeit Temple's.

. Still bothers me, Temple. In 1977, Pitt 76 Temple 0 in Philly.

Bothers YOU? I had to sit through that, from the other perspective (that was my senior year at Temple). My dad used to joke that the reason I chose Pitt for grad school is because I got to learn "Hail to Pitt" by heart in the course of a single afternoon from hearing it played over . . . and over . . . and over . . .

Worst part of it was immediately after the game. I'm from Duquesne (not to be confused with the namesake university), and my roommate was from Sharon (grew up with Randy Holloway), so as soon as we got back to our room, everybody we knew from back home was calling us up.

I should have kept the Philadelphia Inquirer sports page from the following day, however. The headline blared "Pittsburgh 76, Temple Oh!", and under that, in parentheses, it said "It was tied at the coin flip".
