It is rather amusing that some people think getting into the tournament and losing in the first round is a failure at schools like TCU or Pitt. Simply making the tournament at these schools is an accomplishment.

It is definitely an accomplishment. But it doesn't take away from the fact he is the worst NCAA Tournament coach in history when seeding is taken into account.
