1. UVa - defense is too good to lose enough games to finish lower

2. Duke - they are Duke

3. UNC - most talent but they sleepwalk during the regular season

4. Miami - Larranaga is the man and they have everybody back. McClelland will become a star.

5. Pitt - we usually do well when people underestimate us. A presence in the middle plus improvement on D gets us here.

6. FSU - everybody back and I think they surprise.

7. ND - tough to replace Grant and Connaughton but they have enough talent coming back

8. Louisville - they lost everybody but get 2 of the best grad transfers. Not enough to move them higher.

9. NCSU - typical mid-tier bubblish type season for the Pack. Will be a tough out in March as always.

10. Syracuse - I'd like to rank them higher because I think they will benefit from the 39 second clock because of their zone but its going to be tough with Boeheim suspended from all basketball activities and even contacting his players for the first 9 ACC games. Plus, I dont think they have Syracuse -type talent.

11. Virginia Tech - Seth Allen from Md will make a huge difference and Buzz in his 2nd year gets this team to the NCAAT. Yes, 11 ACC teams.

12. Clemson - not a bad team but the league is loaded
13. Wake - Tim Duncan aint walkin through that door.
14. GT - Gregory is a good coach but recuriting will cost him his job. Not enougj Johnny's or Joe's.
15. BC - they get Eli Carter? Remember him?

It's the ACC, nobody can safely say they will not finish less than first. Just Duke, UVA, and UNC amongst the top 3 is an absolute murderer's row. IMO Duke has still got to be the favorite until they show they are significantly weaker than last year. Also UNC has a ton of talent. UVA will be right there in the running though I believe. As for Pitt, I'd be happy with 5th, not so happy if Miami finished ahead of us though. Not to knock on Miami, I just hope we finish ahead of them.
