- Carr and JWF are legitimate ACC players

- Carr will be very good eventually. Would have loved to see JWF on some of those good Pitt teams.

- Luther is what he is which is a decent bench player on a good, or even average team

- Stevenson and Davis aren't ready yet but I see potential. By year 3, they might be pretty good. Stevenson reminds me a lot of Nasir.

- I was hoping Stewart would be Ronnie Ramon but he has been hugely disappointing the first 2 games counting slippery Rock. Looks more like Sterling Smith

- The biggest disappointment by far is the recruitment of our 3 5s. None of them would see the court for an average NEC team. Chukwuka couldn't get off the bench for a 19-11 JUCO team. Brown and Peace were lottery tickets and they cant even beat him out. Guys like Randall, ANO, Maia, Taylor, Cassin Diggs, and even Nwankwo and Doyle Hudson were much better than these guys

- This game was pretty much what I expected. Actually, Pitt looked better than I thought and I was impressed they battled back.

- All I'm looking for this season is hope. I see that Carr will be good. JWF will be gone by the time the team is good, however. Hoping that Stewart, Davis, or Stevenson show something

- Kinda nice to watch a Pitt basketball game without any stress or anxiety, I gotta say

The recruitment of that position has been bad for so many years. If it wasn't for Adams dropping in our lap, we'd have to go back to Chris Taft. Our coaching staffs did a good job with Gray and McGhee. They weren't top recruits but they had great careers.

I wake up this morning to all of the Stallings bashing. But our front court problems are largely a bi-product of the previous staff. The 5 position is one of development. Nobody Stallings could have recruited would have given much more.

Makes me think Corey Manigault could have helped. Slightly. But when he's your linkage from the previous staff...there's plenty of issues.

The last 2 players from JD is Milligan & Luther.
& they're seniors. Almost all gone.

This actually made me laugh out loud. Randall, Nwankwo? Hahaha.

You could be right that they all end up being horrible but freshman 5 men, RARELY transition seamlessly into college. Happens all over the country. Give 'em a year and then I may agree if we see nothing.

Pitt needs one or more of their bigs to develop. Can’t compete having Luther as our inside presence.

We don't know yet if Carr or JWF are any good against real ACC-level competition and won't know that until we play someone with a pulse. Maybe against WVU we might find out if there's anything there. But the season is long and we haven't played anyone yet. Let's hold judgement on any of these guys for a while.

Right...they all need time to develop.

They're are some "projects" in this recruiting class that will take time...in a few weeks we'll know a good deal more.
