What would the guy who owned one of Epstein's hunting grounds not want those files to become a story?

Why would the guy who wished Ghislaine well on multiple occasions after she was arrested allow the files to remain under seal?

Why would the guy who sued his former campaign manager for leaking private conversations to the press, after the manager stated that Trump's biggest worry about information resurfacing during the campaign was from women in his past, sit idly by while his base clamors for the Epstein files?

Oh you damn well better believe there are some high ranking Dems on that list. Especially with the Hollywood and Epstein connections. Not saying there aren't "high ranking Republicans" either. Sure, you can make accusations from that but attending a party doesn't prove anything other than you attended a party. The opinion of Trump would not change .001% if he was shown to be on the list. My guess is most people already believe he was at those parties. That doesn't change their opinion of him for the better or worse.

Saying that the files are just a few lists of flight logs, or party attendants, or mundane correspondence is likely not nearly what evidence is being held back. We don't know what is included in the files, but I imagine they are complete (at least what they could capture or recover) data dumps from Epstein and Maxwell's electronic devices. These could be benign documents or party lists, but could also have incriminating photos on his island, "massage" lists, financial transactions for services, etc. I don't know about you, but I suspect that a man of his character would make sure to keep around incriminating evidence of some powerful people in his back pocket to protect himself.
