If the storm in the Caribbean tracks west of Florida, like they are predicting, the tropical depression and all the rain MAY be in the Ohio Valley around the weekend. Of course it can go anywhere at this point, but these things seem to have a way of swinging up here at the most inopportune times.
Seems like we get at least one of these every year. I remember sitting through one when my son's team played Pine Richland. Like getting sprayed with a fire hose. The kids were so muddy, they hosed them off before they let them into the locker room at the half.
The worse Pitt rainstorm I remember sitting through was the night game at Pitt Stadium when we lost to Temple. You could see the rain coming from the East, then when it hit it was like sitting under Niagara Falls. Water was rolling down the aisles like the River of No Return. At least it was warm.
