So much for the Fat Slobs Rumors

Madden does it all the time. He made up nonsense regarding TJ Watt not all that long ago. He loves the Pens and tries to stir up controversy regarding the Steelers. It’s his schtick.
refresh my memory, what did he say about TJ? Not debating, i remember something but forget the details.

i used to actually like MM too, guy is just a freakin dirtbag.

It is definitely to the point that I won't turn on that channel to listen to him anymore.
He reports lies and is completely bias. Journalism at its worst if you can even call it that.

Madden is a low life NTAC.. He picks a guy to attack to get ratings and then makes up crap about them using "sources" to advance his agenda. I cant believe any intelligent human being would waste time listening to him.
he just posted again about Pickett being a liar. i F'in hate him soo bad. legit hate..

As a Pitt fan and knowing the way Pickett has represented Pitt and the Steelers through the years, I choose to believe him and not the despicable ‘fat slobs’ mentioned above.
Thank you

The people believing the aforementioned fat slobs do so because they’re miserable people who WANT to believe it… and PSU got hammered in their bowl game (lol)

There’s been nothing in KPs past to suggest this character bullshit. It doesn’t mean anyone should build a shrine either… but enough of the Yinzer horseshit crew already

Its interesting that he doesnt have a press pass for the steelers and Im pretty sure PItt doesnt let him anywhere near any of their pressers. Sadly the Pens allow that POS to play pretend journalist.

How Tomlin has handled this, words and actions, has put Pickett in the box.

This situation is wholly Tomlin created.

I think Pickett was calling out the Steelers Now report more than Madden because he talked about the writers advancing their careers.

It's more interesting that Pickett said he was going to be the starter if healthy enough to play last week.

Possibly, but since Dunlap attended WVU, I put him under WVU. Cook is a Big Ten guy since he attended Northwestern, but he is obviously a PSU fan.

Still trying to find out where Paul Shannon went to school........ :)

More on the Pickett issue

Stand up guy

"As a competitor, you want the ball," Pickett said. "I want the ball in the most crucial situations of the game. I want the ball in the biggest games of the season, and this is what you work for, this is what you do. But one man's misfortune is another man's opportunity.

"Mason played well when he got in there. I have a ton of respect for Mason. Everything he's done and what our team has been doing. So now my job that I'm back healthy is to be the backup. If something happens, if he goes down, be ready to go and continue to support him the way I've been."

You guys all realize that someone inside the steeler facility floated this out right? Not defending the fat bastard madden, but he’s low on the totem pole. He’s irrelevant. Beat writers like Kaboly and Dulac got the info first hand. So if you want to attack someone, attack them. Or better yet, attack the person with the Steelers who fed them this info.

Their source either wasn't sound enough or they didn't want to write it worried about future access to the team. Steelers Now had a source or sources and did write about it. DK had a source with the team as well. Bizarre story or non-story either way.

Dunlap has been more positive regarding Pitt than not. I personally knew him when he was younger.
yeah, i think Dunlap is pretty pro-pitt. not a cheerleader but pretty fair towards pitt. he's said he's a fan many times..

he's not a psu or wvu fan, i can tell you that. He openly mocks both programs, on the football side at least.

cant recall any feelings good or bad with wvu basketball.

Remember that Madden cut his teeth on an industry that was totally fake and he was the heel/troll in that pro wrestling crap. He just carries it out with Pittsburgh sports now.

But I don't think it is a "Pens vs Steelers" thing. He is just let's be honest, a complete asshole and he doesn't go to Steelers games or the locker room so he just stirs crap because he never has to answer it.

None of this made sense from the get go. Supposedly Kenny refuses to be back up and Stillerz say Okay on Sunday. Then on Monday Tomlin says Kenny is back up and he is ok with it?

There is no logic to that sequence of events.

Kenny might say he wants to start and Tomlin says you are back up and Kenny may protest but he would have been the backup on Sunday.

They should remove their broadcast from DVE and that radio crap hole.

I think Dunlap and Cook are both pro Pitt when it’s appropriate to be pro Pitt. I know that’s not a popular position on this board but it’s abundantly clear to me and I come from a position where I listen often and hear the sentiment, where as most others here don’t. Cook heaps praise on all the local teams when times are good and will be critical of them when times are bad. I’m no different.
