Central Catholic and Pitt player/alumn. On the up and up from the looks of it....

Just got the job at UCLA. With all the "Narduzzi needs to go" message board chatter, I'm curious what everyone is thinking around here.

Duzz has plenty of security left, could possibly retire when everything makes sense a few years from now.

My thought/hope is Duzz finishes his contract here (obviously on a good note), rides off into the sunset with the most wins as head coach. Sunseri proves his worth as a head coach, then boom....back up a brinks truck.

Perfect scenario I know. As Pitt fan, we dream alot

Who's gonna tell him?
What, tell Duzz to retire?...bro, Duzz won't want another contract in this CFB world. He's done a solid job IMHO. I'm thinking he's gonna grind these next 3-5 years out, try to win another ACC title while getting closer to Sutherland territory.

It makes the most sense honestly.

I was thinking you didn't realize that Tino is only taking an OC job, but I wasn't sure so I deleted it, ha.

He still has a long way to go before he'd be considered for a P4 head coaching gig.

Thank you for your thoughts, Ms. Sunseri.

Pitt fans hated him so I am sure he will be elite and will never coach here. See Kevin Willard.

Oh, ok..my bad I misread that part. I swore on The Fan, Donny Football and them said it was a head coaching spot.

Well, still nevertheless he's on the up and up...could be a nice reunion.

DeShaun Foster actually did a pretty nice job in his first year at UCLA, guy has to be pretty tough minded to overcome his disastrous debut at the BIG media day this summer. Maybe the worst press conference ever.

I didn’t even know Tino was QB coach at IU this year, he must’ve done a decent job with the success Rourke had. Will definitely be an improvement over Bieniemy who has now managed to be fired 2 years in a row.

Remember when Bieniemy was on everyone's list for NFL head coaching jobs, when he was OC of the Chief's? Never got one of the jobs, and now has failed twice as a college coach.

It was nonstop, I think he had 14 interviews over a few seasons or something like that. No one seemed to want to mention how he was an OC that didn’t even call the plays, and had multiple off the field incidents as well.

I don’t know if Tino will be any good or not, but he will be an improvement over Bieniemy. UCLA was a tough gritty team this year that got better as the season went along, they were just a little too offensively challenged.

Where was the first failure at??

Tino was QB for Wanny, Todd Graham, AND Chryst (I guess you can count Haywood for two weeks, too) -- learned from the best, how could he not be a great coach?

I loved the post someone made yesterday about Sal and his brother. Apparently they went to see the movie The Godfather. Walking out of the theater they made a pact that the brother who had the first masculine child would get to name him Santino. Guess who won?
