Yes, sorry....women's soccer as opposed to the other fall women's sport that plays games, volleyball, which as you know actually has a fairly reputable tradition. Volleyball is doing well too at 10-2 and opens ACC play at home against NC State and UNC this weekend which will be major tests.
Nice overtime win last night. After they allowed Wake to tie the game up relatively late I thought we were in for a crushing defeat, but fortunately I was wrong.
Pitt volleyball beat NC State 3-1 last night, despite the Wolfpack recording 20 blocks. NC State, was 11-1 coming into the match.
Pitt faces UNC today, who has dropped out of the polls after starting 7th in the preseason, and who have already has beaten #22 Michigan who defeated Pitt just a week ago 3-1. This will be a big test.
